Loft Home by Austin Maynard Architects.
Austin Maynard Architects have recreated the idea of a traditional loft then uses texture and colour to add character and warmth to a generous, open design. High ceilings, timber floors and light surfaces keep the space open and bright. The raw concrete ceilings and dark metal window frames are inspired by the industrial heritage of the area, but it still feels cosy thanks to generous use of timber and tactile materials.
A curved metal staircase leading up to the second floor is both a functional and aesthetic statement. Above the doorways and in the kitchen and living area, open shelving can be personalised to show off your favourite things or clear the clutter.
Behind the scenes, the design optimises natural ventilation and sunlight at every opportunity, while appointments have been selected to contribute to a more sustainable way of living. Double glazed windows are specified to increase the home’s thermal efficiency and reduce the need for artificial heating and cooling systems. The fixtures have been chosen for their energy and water-saving features and the materials are durable and sustainably made.
Exclusively designed by Austin Maynard Architects the interior colour can customised to suite your mood and personality.
